HOW WE CAME TO BE
Mudkat Outfitters LLC is owned and operated by Mike and Crissy Jones, and Rodney and Jennifer Rines. This business came to be while camping along the Shenandoah River with our church youth group, sparked by a casual conversation between Mike and Rodney about people’s love for the river. Mike is the “driver” who got the ball rolling and kept the fire under the rest of us, Rodney is the resident “river expert” (ask him about his three day canoe trips in the fall/winter,) and Crissy and Jennifer are the brains behind the whole operation! We won’t tell the guys that though! This is a total family and friend run venture. Our mission is to offer first class customer service, and a fun, safe time on the river! We will throw in some good ole humor, and southern hospitality for free! Give us a call at (540) 843-0919 for more information and to make a reservation! While you are here, make sure to check out our FAQ and Price list pages
**** PLEASE NOTE THE CHANGE IN OUR HOURS BEGINNING October 1, 2016****
The fall season with all its glorious foilage 🍁🍂 and weather has arrived, and with it our season is quickly coming to a close. For the remainder of October we are operating on a limited “advance reservation only” basis Tuesday through Sunday (we are closed on Mondays.) Our last day of operation for the 2016 season will be Sunday, October 30th until we re-open in the spring! We need at least one or more day’s notice for reservations. Although there isn’t anyone answering phones during the day, we will check messages and return calls at the end of each day. Thank you for visiting our page!
So, why aren’t you there and answering my calls on weekdays you may ask? Tourism in our area slows down greatly when schools go back in session, which ultimately means business reduces significantly for our river activities, especially on weekdays. Reducing hours helps us keep our prices low and continue to offer the personalized services that have become so popular, such as pick up from local campgrounds. So don’t be afraid to leave us a message about a float trip, your business is very important to us and we return calls each day. Hope to see you soon!
